One of the forms you need to fill out along the way is typically called a Buy Direction Letter. This is where you list the precious metals dealer you have selected, such as ITM Trading.
- Decide Which Precious Metals to Purchase
You can choose to invest in gold, silver, platinum, or palladium for your IRA. There are some restrictions regarding fineness requirements and allowable coin types, so it’s important to get guidance from ITM Trading in this area.
- Place Your Order
Once the funds are available in your IRA account, you can call them to place your order for the desired precious metals.

ITM Trading offers free shipping on most orders, although additional fees may apply for shipments to Hawaii, Alaska, and certain Postal Boxes. There is a minimum order requirement of $1,000 for all orders, except for shipments to California, which have a minimum order of $1,500.
Unfortunately, the company doesn’t disclose any fee-related information on its website.
This can be a major issue for most investors because it might expose you to the risk of facing “hidden charges”.

ITM Trading has a specific return policy in place. The company does not offer refunds on any purchase, except for Pre-1933 coins. However, the provisions are quite complicated. For example, if you don’t report the issue within 5 days, the company wouldn’t accept the complaint.
Furthermore, there are many complaints against them because of this issue as well.
